Morning Motivation

Happy Fri-YAY! Who else was ready for the weekend on Tuesday?! I’m not sure if it’s because Day Light Savings is coming up or because both of my kids have been acting like wild animals, but these days I'm feeling like I need all the extra motivation I can get. So today I thought I’d share some tips, tricks, and quotes with you guys on how to get and stay motived! Whether it’s just to get through your To-Do list for the day, eat healthy, or to get that exercise in that you keep telling yourself you’ll get to, hopefully at least one of these will help! 


One thing that really helps me to get motivated for the day is making my To-Do list. I’m not sure if it’s my Type A personality or because it actually helps, but once I have a list for the day, I instantly feel more excited and ready to take on the rest of the day and the things I need to get done. I also get tons of satisfaction from being able to cross everything off. If you don’t normally make one, try making a list for yourself in the mornings and see if it helps! Also, make sure that you ACKNOWLEDGE all the things you DID get done. Even if it wasn’t on your original list, if you’re getting different tasks done, add them on your list and CROSS THOSE SUCKERS OFF!  

Sometimes we can feel discouraged when it comes to exercise because it feels like we’re not seeing results fast enough or even at all. The biggest tip I have when it comes to exercising, is STICK TO IT! Get a friend to work out with you or to exercise the same days as you so you can hold each other accountable. Check in with each other. Find a group on social media that will help encourage you on your fitness journey. You don’t have to see the end result right away (and you won’t!), but just know that every day you’re working toward it, you’re getting closer and closer to reaching your goal. It also helps to take photos along the way so you can do comparisons and see how far you’ve actually come. This trucker makes a great accessory for those before and after photos too! You can do it, just believe in yourself that you can! 

One of my favorite ways to get going and start my day is by making an iced coffee. Not only is it delicious but it also saves you some $ and a trip to Starbucks. I just use ice, fill my cup half way with almond milk, and some Tazo Chai Tea Latte mix and mix it with a straw. BAM. SO good, quick and easy, and gives you the little boost you need to get going. This hat is also a staple for me now that my kids have seemingly started to run my life, and I’m sure many of you can relate. 

My last tip for getting through your day, and staying motivated is making sure to stay HYDRATED. SO many times we can start to feel sluggish when we’re not giving our body enough nourishment and hydration, but don’t fret! There’s a simple solution you guys! You can check out this super cute tumbler or this one, and you can put whatever you want in it! Whether it’s water, the iced coffee I mentioned above, a drink to replenish your electrolytes, regular coffee, or a special mom drink that helps you get through the day, it’s the perfect way to stay on top of keeping hydrated. My favorite way to use it is for my water. It keeps it so fresh and cold and it’s the easiest way for me to stay on top of how much water I’m drinking throughout the day.
